You will be picked up from the Airport by our representative upon arrival and be driven to Giraffe Centre and Elephant Orphanage for a city Tour. Note that airport pickup and drop off on the last day is covered in the tour package.
David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage
Our first stop is truly the most unique animal care center in the world. Where else can you see dozens of baby elephants being fed from giant milk bottles right before you? And then after the feeding, watch the elephant babies roll about in the mud, playing, frolicking like young children everywhere. This world-renowned sanctuary rescues orphaned elephants throughout Africa and hand raises them with expertise and love. The Sheldrick Family has been taking in and caring for these orphaned babies for over forty years. Over 200 have now been rescued and you can experience up close the expressions of compassion and caring in this very special place. But now it’s your feeding time and we’ll have lunch (at own cost) at the beautiful Karen Blixen Coffee Garden then it’s on to the Giraffe Centre.
Giraffe Centre
Here at the Giraffe Centre, you can climb up the feeding tower and hand feed a food pellet to an inquisitive giraffe. Some lucky visitors have been known to get a giraffe kiss! The Centre is a refuge for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Here we’ll learn about this beautiful species at the special Information Centre. You may also find yourself surrounded by dozens of schoolchildren, as this is a favorite outing for Kenya’s youngsters. Later, you’ll be driven to your city hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Just let your driver/guide know what you’d like to do. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. Although it might be tempting to stay in bed and wait until the afternoon to explore, I promise you this is a game drive you don't want to miss. An evening game drive over rolling grassland dotted with a mixture of acacia trees and the plain will offer you
excellent opportunities to spot some of Africa's most notable species such as lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs and many more. All of Africa’s Big Five are here in plenty
