- DAY 1: NAIROBI-MAASAI MARA
- DAY 2: MAASAI MARA FULL DAY
- DAY 3: MAASAI MARA-NAIROBI
After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and depart from Nairobi to the world renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point then lunch in Narok. You’ll arrive in Masai Mara late afternoon/early evening and proceed for a game drive.
Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular park because of its scenic beauty and the richness of its wildlife. Here you’ll discover Africa’s Big Five, plus 100 other species of hunters and grazers. During the migration season expect to see tens of thousands of zebra and wildebeest flowing into the reserve on their yearly cycle of survival. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp/Lodge.
Meals and Drinks: Lunch, dinner and drinking water (Other drinks not included)
After breakfast with picnic lunch you will spend full day exploring this unique park which forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park. This will be a day of unlimited game drives for you to explore the depth and breadth of this famous park.
Reliable rains and plentiful vegetation underpin this extraordinary ecosystem and the millions of herbivores it supports. Wildebeest, zebras, impalas, elephants, Masai giraffes and several species of gazelle all call the Mara home. This vast concentration of game accounts for high predator numbers, including cheetahs, leopards and a higher lion density. You will go in search of the Big Five with game drives across the grassy plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Your will have an opportunity to drive down to the Mara River, site of the Great Migration when in season – July through October. The immense herds of wildebeest and zebra are a magnificent sight, matched only by the drama of the predators who lie in wait for them. At the river, we’ll see hippos but also camouflaged in their natural habitat we’ll spot the many crocodiles awaiting the wildlife traversing the river. This is a spectacle that has played out for millennia.
To bring more texture to your experience at the Mara, you may want to take advantage of several optional events we offer at an extra cost. Experience a visit to the local Maasai people in their nearby village. Meet these indigenous people and see up close their ancient lifestyle and culture. Want an unforgettable sight? Take a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride high above the reserve as the morning light breaks across the golden savannah and witness the herds of wildlife emerging into the day. Your driver/guide can arrange either of these optional excursions. Dinner and
overnight will be at the camp/lodge.
